About Irish Routes

At Irish Routes, we know that the best holidays stay with us long after we've returned home. They become the stories we tell around the dinner table, the places we recommend to friends, and the memories we find ourselves returning to years later.

Irish Routes was created to help travellers experience that kind of journey in Ireland, in a way that feels personal, effortless and deeply memorable.

My approach

Every Irish Routes itinerary begins with understanding you. How you like to travel, what draws you to Ireland, and the kind of memories you hope to make. From there, each element of your adventure is carefully curated, bringing together accommodations, meaningful experiences and trusted local recommendations into one seamless itinerary.

I believe that the best recommendations come from first hand experience. That's why I'm continually exploring Ireland, meeting the people behind the places, discovering remarkable experiences and seeking out the stories that make this island so special. It's this first-hand knowledge, combined with years of designing bespoke journeys, that allows me to create itineraries with confidence and care.

With so much information available online, planning a trip can quickly become overwhelming. My role is to cut through the noise, so you can feel confident that every recommendation has been chosen with purpose, every detail carefully considered, and every journey designed entirely around you. That way all you have to do is look forward to the adventure ahead.

Meet Meg

Founder | Irish Routes

I've spent a lifetime travelling, living and working across Asia, America and the UK, always fascinated by the way travel connects us to people, places and stories.

It seemed inevitable that I would end up designing journeys for a living. As a bespoke travel specialist in London, I spent years creating tailor-made itineraries across some of the world's most extraordinary destinations, helping travellers experience each place in a way that felt personal, seamless and unforgettable.

Along the way, I was honoured to be recognised by Condé Nast as one of their Top Travel Specialists. But the most valuable lesson I learned wasn't simply how to plan exceptional trips, it was how thoughtful planning can completely transform the way people experience a destination.

Over the past seven years, I've found myself increasingly drawn back to my Irish roots. Through countless trips exploring the island with my partner, I've fallen in love with its landscapes, its culture, its communities and the quiet moments that rarely make it into the guidebooks.

Time and again, I've watched visitors follow the same well-trodden routes, while so much of Ireland's character exists just beyond them. That's what inspired Irish Routes. I wanted to create a different way to experience this island. One that celebrates the iconic highlights, alongside the roads less trodden.
